You'd have had to be the dandy in town when you ordered this spec

Quite a few years ago, I was looking for a 996, and saw one at Specialist Cars of Malton in exactly this colour combo. It looked even worse than in the pictures but was very well priced at the time!

Must be me, but I really like it. That said I've got a silver 986 with a Nephrite green interior.

I can report that a Boxster 2.5 Tip will leave a 993 a long way behind on a wet twisty road. Ask me how I know!

My silver / green 986 is a manual 2.5. I purposely looked for that which a lot of people scoffed at because its "under powered". But I really like the driving experience, its slow yes, but engaging. Also after owning a 993 for a number of years a long time ago, oddly it felt quite similar sitting inside. The only issue I have with it is that I quite often drive with guys who have modern stuff 981's, 991,s etc and they are just so quick in comparison. Leaves you feeling a little inadequate :)

I was drawn by less IMS issues being reported on the 2.5 plus I have a thing for ‘first’ models - whether cars or watches!
