Classic LeMans 2025

Post by hot66 »

Might seem early, but it is that time to start thinking about CLM 2025 !!!

July 3rd-6th

https://www.lemansclassic.com/?lang=en

After thinking about the options I reckon we should stick with Lycian Events at the Porsche Curves again as they have a great site with great facilities track side. I think everyone had a great time last year 8)

We will do things slightly different this time around where each booking will be allocated a camping plot marked out. If you need a larger plot then you select that at the time of booking. Also easier for you to book pre erected tents too if thats what you want.

At this stage I just need an idea on numbers , not holding you to it but ideally realistic because I don't want say we need 50 plots and then find its only 30 .

For those that have not been before , we stay on a secure guarded site on the inside of Porsche curves . The camp onsite bar is trackside and we have viewing from the grass banks a few metres away . On site private restaurant is open all day and does great food. For leMans, the toilets and showers are great with no ques to speak of.

You can walk into the centre of the circuit from the campsite ( not a short walk but easy to do ) or the campsite has a dedicated shuttle bus going back and forth at all times of the day )

Lycian definitely way to go- in spite of personality clash!
I’m definitely in - either camper/trailer with 924 or pre-erected tent - prob just me.

James,
A mate and I are thinking of coming and wondered what a sensible budget would be for travel (Portsmouth/Caen) and accommodation?
Thanks

Don’t know pricing yet , but 2023 was :

1 car , 2 person ( 7m x 5m plot ) on private site , 2 admission tickets + paddock passes = £486 / person . Site available Thurs - Monday

Ferry package deals were available and worked out quite good

Not the cheapest way of doing Clm but not the most expensive either. Having done many years of public camping in the past personally I think the extra is worth paying and imho fun to be camping trackside to really appreciate the event as you sleep to gt40’s blasting down the track at 3am
