My Boxster wheels are booked in for a bare metal repaint in 2 weeks.
Thinking of coating them with something to keep them smart.
My car produces a fair amount of stick brake dust, so the (ceramic?) coating needs to be robust.
Any real world experiences on suitable coatings?

.
Maybe ask the people who are refurbishing your wheels ?
The only experience I have is for the new Cromodora alloy wheels I fitted to my Alfa 1750 Spider - I painted the inside of the wheels with this product which made keeping them clean much easier ...

Thank you, will seek their advice.
The Boxster wheels are huge 19” dia and very wide.
The inside surfaces get very dirty but can start corrosion as they are today.
I do not clean them like some do, takes too much time.

Re: Protection of fresh powder coated wheels?
Get one of these from IKEA, quite long, gets between the wheel spokes and cleans the inside of the rim very easily, and quite sturdy as well. Works well on my wheels, and can just about get between the brake calliper and inner wheel as well.
