Throw out fork and release bearing parts

Throw out fork and release bearing parts

Need some advice, please

Tried fitting the throw out fork and release bearing from the 901 gearbox to the 914 gearbox on my Karmann Ghia, the fork plastic cup which fits over the nipple on the box seems in the wrong place and the guides don't fully seat in the release bearing pegs.

Is the fork wrong? or the release bearing?

Tried searching various part numbers but cant see anything obvious.
