Yes, I've been watching it - don't think the auction will run its course...

I only listed it as I am watching with some amusement, if it gets to anywhere near his asking price I'm off to the pub to celebrate, as it means what I paid for my 74 carrera (now stripped, awaiting funds to send off to a body shop) was worth it... !!

This auction looks dodgy IMO - the only bidder to date 'antonslimited' previously sold item: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 4553737138 stating that they would soon have a '665' RS spec engine for sale.

Funny how 'rosieglossop' is only selling this engine because they've found a '665' then 'antonslimited' is the only bidder.

Hmm...
2006 RHD 997 Carrera (but DDK remains in my heart - also now no longer)
1972 LHD 2.4T with '73 2.4T CIS motor - gone to a new DDK home
1994 RHD 993 Carrera - gone!
1968 LHD 911L - was the Wife's but now in new hands :-(

I agree this item does look dodgy I am sure Antons own this engine! The picture certainly looks like their workshop. I have watched other porsche related items they had and all were sold but then reappeared. I nearly bought a 964 from them but it is my opinion the son who seems to do the selling is too sharp for his own good, I stress this is just my opinion.

I am pretty sure that RosieGlossop bid on the RS type motor that Mani "sold" on ebay some months ago. He and I had a bit of a discussion about that motor and its value over on the PCGB forum.

He asked a question there a couple of days ago regarding the AT engine number on the motor being discussed above, no one answered. I am sure that it will be back on ebay in a week or so.......
