Long shot but tracing a photographer …

Post by 911MRP »

I am trying to locate a photographer called Stephen Wood who took photos of cars racing and sold motorsport videos.

The only number* I have for him is (0423) 64274. It’s clearly an old format landline phone number from before BT re-jigged their area codes. I think 0423 might have been somewhere around Harrogate? I’ve tried the obvious — just inserting a 1 (01423) but that didn’t work. Probably he’s long gone from that old phone number or maybe as simple as still there but it’s now 11 digits rather than old 9 digit system ?

I’m not sure if he was a professional photographer or just a keen amateur but he took photos at tracks and certainly at one time he sold motorsport videos — I have seen an old comment offering a discount on the usual video price.

I know there are folks here from around that region so hoping maybe someone knows him and has more recent contacts for Stephen Wood, if he’s still around?

Cheers

Steve

*PS I wish to respect personal privacy online so to be clear that old number I have posted were once published openly as his contacts to purchase his work (videos etc) — do use PM if there are any concerns about sharing updated contacts if by any remarkable long-shot someone here has them.

I cant help specifically .... but quick google search found people who might be able to help you ( assuming the industry is relatively small )

here are two harrogate based photographers who have a passion for motorsport photography

https://www.red-lime.co.uk/harrogate-photography.html

and this guy has a gallery specialising in motorsport work by artists / photographers etc

Not sure if any of them might be able point you in the right direction ?
