L/H MFI SSI Exhaust heat exchanger

Post by silverone »

Afternoon all,

Finally getting to restoring my '72 911E, and of course along the way discovering all sorts about the car...

A pair of SSI heat exchangers were fitted back in '07. However, it must of been the 'carb' version? As there is no shroud around the L/H exchanger to feed into the pre-heater flapper box.

I am looking for this shroud (circled in green on the pic) so either this part alone to weld on to my existing exchanger, or, a complete L/H exchanger, or even a pair (L/H & R/H) to swap, part-exchange or sell. Open to options here!

Thank you for your help.

Cheers

Has your one got the thermostat hot air feed pipe ? … this is way more important than the flapper box feed ( which most of us delete anyway )

It has, yes.

I'll be able to post some pictures of mine hopefully soon, if you'd like?
