Fortuitously, your misspelling was copied by the phishing party which rather gave the game away big time. I spotted this at breakfast too but Andy was quicker to reply. (You probably just had toast while browsing Andy and weren’t occupied cooking the full English).

If I’m being perfectly honest I’m not sure what Graham is needing. The image he posted doesn’t show up for me.Nine One One wrote:Have you seen the H4 lenses Andrew is selling on the below link - items 7 and 8

A Bosch swb 7045 lens is not an H4 lens AFAIK. A 7045 has a smooth curve to the top rather than a step. It has lines at the top whereas an H4 lens is either a pebble or clear. I might have seen John Audette describe 7045 lenses as H4’s at one time but I’m not sure that’s the correct designation.
Then there is the issue if it is a rhd or a lhd lens needed.
It took me 10 years to track down a pair of Bosch 7045 rhd lenses and they cost me a pretty penny. I have only ever seen this one pair of rhd 7045’s advertised.
The alternative in a swb car is to fit Hella lenses which work well and are easier to find in rhd. Some of the swb cars also have those (VW?) lenses fitted with the centre oval prism.
Lhd 7045 lenses are easier to find and I’ve seen some advertised on the ESR from time to time.
Regards
Mike

Re: H4 Lens BOSCHE for 1968 911L RHD
Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the banter! Lucky I can't spell.
What I need is a Bosch 7045 lens, not H4 as I now realise from replies to my post on Early 911S Regestry Forum (am I allowed to mention them?).
I need a chrome ring too as the enlarged fixing hole on mine is causing problems when I'm fitting a non-matching lens at the moment.
I gather the Bosch 7045 lens is pretty rare but is a sort of version of the Porsche 365 E1 4487 lens. You can tell I'm no expert in all this. Would one of those march shape and pattern?
As originally said, I really need one of these 7045 lenses to match the other side if anyone can help
Graham

The 4487 is similar to the 7045, but please note: 4487 is for LHD (right hand traffic) markets, so the fresnel pattern on the lens is pretty much a mirror image of the 7045.Gduplock wrote: I gather the Bosch 7045 lens is pretty rare but is a sort of version of the Porsche 365 E1 4487 lens. You could fit one of each, but whether driving in the UK or away on a euro tour you would always be dazzling oncoming traffic (with one of your headlights) .
