What are the original fuel line connetcors like?

Post by RobFrost »

Where fuel hose is connected to fuel hose, my 1970T has black plastic connectors and y-junctions under the front bonnet, which are a little too tight inside the 9.5mm hose that fits snugly over the metal pipes fixed into the bodywork - not dissimilar to these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293554625746 . They seem under-engineered compared with other components on the car. I also see this exact type in my local independent motor parts show. Are these original or were there originally some different connectors used, e.g. silver-soldered brass pipes?
1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.
