Looking for history - YOD 226K. Early 90's Giroflex Racer.

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a great little car - YOD 226K.

I have the history of the last 27 years as it was hillclimbed regularly by it's previous owner.

After a good chat with the previous owner he believes it raced in 2.7 RS form in the Porsche Giroflex Championship in the early 90's by a gentleman named "Dermot Richardson". He was a vet from the Somerset area.

If anyone has any history at all on it I would be very interested in hearing more. The car is currently orange but I'm not sure if that was the case at the time.

Hi Morgan,

I'm glad that you had a good chat with Bob. It is a great little car.
I knew Dermot back when he owned it in the early 80's. He lived near Exeter, and hillclimbed YOD occasionally then. He was also keen on flying and had a share in an aeroplane at Exeter Flying Club. I don't recall him racing in Giroflex, but it was quite possible.
