Oil pipe nut and/or thermostat savers

Post by PeterK »

OK, so having almost given away my pair of stat savers when I sold some oil pipes c/w t/stat, I now find myself in need of some.

One of my oil pipes is not tightening on to the thermostat.  I can fasten another pipe onto the t/stat stub in question and I can tighten the pipe nut in question onto another t/stat stub.  I conclude that both the t/stat stub & poor nut are half good and unfortunately 2 half goods make a fail.

So, options include sourcing a replacement nut and/or a t/stat saver or maybe doing a JonnyH and going rear cooler setup.

So before I have to start looking down the back of the sofa, does anyone have a spare pipe nut they will sell me or can anyone suggest a source.

Similarly, does anyone have a spare t/stat saver (or two)

Thx

Peter
