Wee help needed with gearbox number (1969)

Post by Cortina »

Gearbox in car (a 1969 T) appears to have number stamped 7195160 Does anyone know / have an idea if this could be correct for the car ?
I have not seen it , only going from a poorish photo (I guess it should be a 901 type rather than a 915 type ?)

thanks

.

Yes, that's a '69 5-speed 911 gearbox

7 = 6 cyl (911)
1 = 5-speed with std ratios
9 = 1969
5160 = serial no.
