car aerial

Silly question but how do you take the car aerial off a 911 do you have to take the wheel off to get at it , or is it from the top of the car.

Tricky one this (unless you have small hands/wrists with long arms :? ) there's a very small amount of room in there, you have to loosen the nut from the top and hold the ariel underneath the wing, it is possible to then remove the ariel from the gap between the wing and the door that's how i did mine.

Refit is almost (as they say in the Haynes manual) reversal of removal, however getting the wire through to the dash is a bit of a pig, i cut the old one and attached the new wire and pulled it through into the car gently, traced where the old one exited the car and managed to get the new one in from there.

it would have been easier had the door been removed

hope this helps.
