New member hello - 911 SCRS
Hi guys
I'm not a big forum user, but just wanted to say hello.
I am about to embark on a 911 SCRS rally car build project - current plan is for the finished car to run as a Rothmans replica car on various European historic and demo rallies.
I was introduced to the forum by a newly found and like minded friend and look forward to becoming part of the forum, both learning and contributing as I go.
All 911 SCRS information, historical and current; and build expertise and knowledge gratefully received. The car will be built to FIA homologation B-207, and so the journey begins....
Any like minded 911 SCRS owners and enthusiasts please introduce yourselves to me, i'm gonna need a lot of help.
Thanks everyone
Dave

Hi and welcome.
I think Mike Bainbridge worked in period on the SCRS. I think he will have some info and possibly parts.
Kind regards.

Welcome and good luck with the project! The SCRS has one of the most beautiful engine bays there is, the high butterfly injection with the specially modified air box is a work of art!
cheers, Mike.

Re: New member hello - 911 SCRS
we have an SCRS evocation in build currently, based on a 964 chassis
but probably of more interest was an SCR build (narrow bodied SCRS) that we built about 7 years ago. Its documented on Impact Bumpers and you may find the detail useful
If you are in the Liverpool area, call in for a brew !

Thanks for the welcome and background. I found your thread on here, Birth of a Rally Car on the 911 SCR, and followed it all the way through, all I can say is wow - absolutely stunning. I will be finding a reason to get over to you in the next few weeks with a pack of biscuits to take you up on the offer of a brew.
