just refitting my heater controls. Is it simply an interference fit through the trim panel and then through the hole in the dash substructure?
Do the control cables go over or under the steering column before poking through the firewall??

IIRC the slider head is pushed through but there is a draw bolt welded to the under panel, so a nut needed to draw the unit in tight.
Cannot remember about the cable runs, sorry.
Actually thought about mine today as I tried to adjust it, I have something not quite right on mine...

thanks, have gone under the column to get a smoother radius on the cable and found the draw bolt!
