Repair to the horn relay housing
Has anyone carried out a repair or knows how to repair the relay housing for the horn? I have a loose connection inside and cannot see a way to open it, and do not want to break it open. I could replace it with a modern square relay but would prefer not to. Thanks, Alan

Re: Repair to the horn relay housing
I could be wrong here, but I suspect the relay is ultrasonically welded together, the base and top 'can' will then be hermetically sealed. The join can be near invisible if done well.
This was a very popular process in the 70's and on, we used the process for many different automotive items we assembles back then.
Splitting them will be impossible unless the weld was weak when applied.
You might have to saw it open, fix, and glue back together.
