There's so much more to this car than Russ has highlighted.......it's a well sorted modified 73 E with a recent £25K engine by Redtek that goes like stink, I know, I've chased it!

The car also has a well documented period race history that Russ has carefully pieced together, if this was the States the community would be all over it like a rash.

It may not be perfect but it's a great car which Russ has upgraded and much improved during his ownership spending thousands.......under priced by £15-£20K and a bargain imo, wished I had the funds!

Sorry to see you part with the car Russ and know how much you love it but best of luck with the sale

Unique 911 created by Russ with lots of nice touches.

I had the pleasure of accompanying Russ over a couple of hundred miles through France and then through England on our way back from CLM a few years ago. It had its very unique back end at the time which I quite liked. The car looked great and very purposeful moving swiftly across the French countryside.

Perfect example of a modified early car imho.
I saw these cars race in the late 80s and that clinched me having one in 89.

I've seen the car just twice, at Oulton Park, a very nice car.

Darren, let's assume this car needed 20k spent on it. Are we saying a fully sorted RHD 2.4 E car, non matching are worth around 80k in the current market.?

Good question and I’m interested in the answer.

But.... the value in this car, and in any car that has been modified, is surely achieved by selling it to someone who wants to keep the car substantially the same? So the value of a standard E is not the right benchmark?

I imagine that, if you ever sell your ST rep, you will not expect the new owner to take the arches off and bung in a standard T engine?
When I buy my Singer, I doubt I’ll be doing the man maths based on returning it to a standard 964!
