Just saying Hi to everyone!
I am in Wilts in the UK
I am rebuilding a 1972 911 T, a USA car, the model with the Oil Flap (to the Oil Tank) on the passenger side. It is pretty well a complete rebuild, paint is done, new suspension etc, but lots still to do. If anyone can help with the any of the following, that would be great:
1. I am missing the Oil Flap, as far as I see not available as a new part, even from a third party.
2. Fuel Pipes, particularly thru the tunnel, to and from the tank, does anyone know whether steel or stainless steel pi[es are available?.
3. Workshop manual and or parts list drawing, I can see that some suppliers have some on their websites but I am happy to purchase.
Thanks guys
Ray

Hi Ray,
Welcome to DDK, it would be great to see some pictures of the car.
You can see how to do this from this thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3864
For the question of pipes search through the forum, someone is bound to have done this before.
You can download the parts manual from http://early911nzdownloads.yolasite.com ... anuals.php
You could try Karmann Konnection for the fuel flap cover. Or alternatively take a look on http://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/forum.php

Welcome Ray,
You should be able to get 2 and 3 with a little searching but 1 is going to be tough. Am I right in thinking all original 72 oil flaps are aluminium?
Here is a picture of all the parts you need. Unfortunately this reproduction set is long gone but there is a guy on the Samba who makes the hinge only.

Good luck

Welcome Ray
Compensated by the dipping company but I seem to recall the price for a replacement was around £300 when I took in account exchange from Euro as I bought from ebay in Germany.
Checking there now only one I see is now EUR500
