912 Cylinder Heads

Post by Black66 »

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good machine shop that is familiar with 912 cylinder heads.
I am thinking of getting the heads to my original engine refurbished.
Machine shops I have contacted locally have no experience of Porsche aircooled heads.

Cheers

Hi, I’m not sure how different 912 heads are from 911 ones but I’d imagine the basics are pretty much the same.

I used http://www.robwalkerengineering.co.uk for mine, valve guides, skim, valve seats, blast etc

Still going strong so no complaints!

I found this post from Chris Turner agreeing with you viewtopic.php?f=2&t=50092&p=424586&hili ... is#p424586

Angus has a nice setup too (Will his mechanist is ex RedTek) and if that isn't enough recommendations call PRS and ask them to recommend.
