Not a Porsche, but on my 66 VW bus, I have some deep pitting corrosion that’s happened on the bottom of the gearbox casing. It’s not gone through completely, and the case still holds tight, but I wondered if anyone seem this on Porsche magnesium castings?
It does not look like the corrosion has been active for a long time. I’m guessing caused by an alkaline mud that adhere to the casing. Any better ideas?
