Hi All
I'm Tim and have been a Porsche owner for over 10 years having owned a Red 993 (wish I still had it!), a Cayman S (would buy another!),996 Carrera4 (very under estimated car that
looked after its rear tyres) and a newly built (1970 id ) 911 3 litre built to suit any type of motorsport, track, tour fast road etc. Weighing less than a 1000kgs and having 280 bhp and built from mainly new parts from a totally restored shell makes it quite special.
During my Porsche ownership I have acquired too many parts which one day will get around to selling but you always think "I'll need that one day"!
I'm always thinking of new projects and look forward to learning more from the experts on this forum

Hi Tim,

if you haven't thought about who will be looking after your new toy, you will be pleased to know there are a number of good indy's in the area. Some are below, but there are others too (one in Brighouse?) which members will be able to recommend. I have used the top 2 on that list and would be happy to recommend either of them.

Hello Tim,
Would I be right thinking you had the red 'Bikini' 911 on BHRC rounds back in 2006/7 'ish?

Hi Keith
Yes that wa me in the infamous Bikini Racing 911! Loved rallying my 911 and had some great results along the way and took the fight to the Escorts on many occasions. Wins in Yorkshire and Kiellder and one that got away in deepest darkest Wales are all memorable but it was the RAC Rally where I could never get a result which was frustrating. Using maps and off camber crests don’t suit a 911 and we had a few incidents.,the most spectacular was rolling on the second to last stage whilst in 3rd position and landing back on my wheels without putting a mark on the car. Luck was on my side that day.ANW 603M has been sold and my new car just sits in the garage looking too nice to use in anger. It has been a full on no expense spared project built to win with massive help and input from Strasse ( 280 bhp engine and proper motorsport gearbox) and Prepfab Motorsport for preparing the shell to the latest specification. For the future,I’m not really sure. Lacking enthusiasm but will be back one day. I WILL put some photos on soon

Those were great days. I was out with Graham Wilson in his blood orange 911 at the time and there was Peter Lythel, who still uses his car on the Manx, and Paul Drinkall, sadly no longer with us. Some great battles.
Sounds like your new car is for tarmac only, you should get it over to Belgium. That would get your enthusiasm going again

Hi Keith
Yes I remember you and Graham, and Peter. Sad news about Paul, I only heard a couple of weeks ago via Richard Lepley.
A project I have in mind at the moment is to build a regularity car.,not sure why really but it seems to be getting popular.
the stage rallying thing seems to be directionless at the moment.Shorter events, high entry fees, very expensive tyres and a blatant disregard for eligibility. The best formula was around 10 years ago!
