IMO only vacuum formed, i.e. double curved same as original glass will work, a flat perspex/lexan doesn't work hence the lack of interest - again 2p worth.

I've had flat lexan in the back of our hillclimb car for years without any problem. Just jogged my memory earlier today when a friend wanted a piece of it.
