Hargett shifter

Post by MikeB »

Looking at Keith’s Hargett shifter and noting his comment that the handbrake is still accessible.

How accessible is it and how do MOT inspectors consider it, if the handbrake is to be considered in its Emergency brake function?
Cheers

You have to reach round the front of the shifter. It's not the most convenient layout, but you can still use the handbrake. As for MOT, I've no idea - I never had the car tested with the Hargett fitted. It would take 10 minutes to reinstate the original shifter, if necessary.
