Converting a 1986 Blaupunkt to Bluetooth - is it possible?

Post by mohitos »

A friend just placed a deposit on this lovely 3.2.

Ideally he wants to leave it all looking 100% original. Is there any way to convert the original head unit to bluetooth?

No I doubt it could be done, and if it could would be expensive and would need extra "kit" and some where to place that kit. The simple soloution is to have a cable (mini-jack) in your glove box which is connected to the radio, then you can play music from you phone iPod etc. This is what I did in my 74 Carrera. Speak to Mike at Chrome London - he'll keep you right, and a good chap also.....

Had a great chat with Mike at Chrome London. Thanks for the referral. He can hard wire into the HU and connect a bluetooth device. Totally discreet. Sounds like a great option.
