Rear springs

Post by moriarty »

What rear springs has anyone used to replace the NLA springs from Porsche?
Are the German made Suplex ones on ebay any good? also Design 911 are listing Spidan made by GKN, anyone used them?

I bought a pair from Roger Bray about 3 years ago - can't remember what make they were - Crispin Manners fitted them for me. May be worth calling Mark at Roger Bray for a recommendation.

We removed a pair of the GKN spidan springs from a car recently because the ride height was up by about 60mm and they were way too stiff. We checked the p/n on the GKN website and there was no reference to 914 so something is not right there. Not sure who fitted them or where they came from.

We use a 914-6 spec. 10mm diameter (std 9.3)mm spring on our own car and customer cars. £75 each plus vat, P&P. 3 pairs in stock. Perfect ride height and a lovely ride with the right shocks.

Sorry for blatant sales plug but you did ask and we are a paid up advertiser. Email me for photos including comparison with GKN.
