1972 911 - Momo Steering wheel hub length

Post by Magnum »

Quick one....

I'm afraid my Friday night red wine fuelled research is not yielding the desired outcome!

I have just today fitted a vintage Momo steering wheel (actually an Abarth from an established DDK member but let's no split hairs) to a Momo hub (that had an unpleasant newer Momo wheel fitted) - so all works just fine but this is the newer version of hub with the rubber "bellows/concertina effect".

This hub is about 65mm long/deep, however the steering wheel feels too close to my chest and I do have room to move it closer to the dashboard (without the traditional finger trapping problem  ).

Is anyone aware of a solution - is there perhaps a Momo compatible hub out there that is say 30 - 40mm deep/long - thus allowing it to move back towards dashboard by 30 - 35mm?

Regards
Magnus
