Post by scalino65 »

Hi
Does anyone have any suggestions as to an aerosol paint that ismagnesium in colour. I cant seem to find anything that looks "right".
Ideally, like the wheels on this;

Can't see the wheel colour in your picture very clearly but you could try looking at VHT manifold paints or those sold for brake calipers as they tend to be more of a matt/dull finish.

If its for wheels I'd suggest visiting your local powder coaters - when looking for a darker silver colour for the steel/alloys wheels on my 904 I found them very helpful & they had a huge range of colours available (both for powder coating & 'wet' spraying).

Hi Andy
Thank you. I was looking at some VHT at frosts but they reckon it wont heat cure on wheels. (not sure baking in the oven would go down well at scalino towers)
Will check the powder coat route. RAL standard chart seems to have some close matches.
