removing doors

Post by newto912 »

Hi All
just had my car back from paint and want to remove the doors , the fit/gaps are pretty good so I dont want to take them off by the star bolts.
How easy /difficult is it to remove the pins that pas through the hinges?
looks like you might need a special tool?
any tips
Thanks

You will need the correct tools do this properly. But you are in Bournemouth which is close to me so if you want to borrow mine you are welcome to use it and the proper slide hammer.

Is there a tool for this? Do you have a picture?

I made my own tool, but it would be nice to see what a proper one looks like.
