hounds tooth cloth.....which way is up?

I've got some of the cloth with a colour stripe but don't know if the stripe should run left to right or up and down. Google'd images show 50/50, anyone know for sure?





Then.....the one piece of material has 8 ways of up, some of them look very similar but all are different.

I think this is a shot of inside that brochure Jason, and that is why I'm confused. Mikes photo shows vertical and the sample is horizontal.

I also know whichever I opt for the next time I see you lot you'll be telling me I got it upside down and back to front

Glad you posted that Jason because it's the way I opted.
I know at a glance it wouldn't make much difference but it's like hanging the Union Jack upside down, looks similar but something is just not quite right.

The daft thing is I'm not doing any seats just yet. I will be doing the later sports seats I have when the time comes. Hopefully that will make them more comfortable in hot weather and be less squeaky/creaky when I'm bouncing around in them. I just needed to know which way the pattern ran so I could make a matching headliner for my swanky new roof
