Headlight Identification

Post by AndrewSlater »

Can anyone help me identify which type of headlights these are and for what car these are for?

I bought them a while ago for my 912 as all the chrome was in excellent condition.
The seller claimed they came off a 356 but as they didn't have the bottom fixing tab I assumed they were early 901.

As always any help would be much appreciated as I would like to make some room and sell them with a better informed description.
Thanks
Andrew

Hi Andrew

US spec Hella clear lenses with Marchal units behind - pretty much what my '12 had when it came over.

I'd be interested in the Marchal lamp units on their own if they're surplus to your needs & the reflectors are rust-free (depending on price).

Thanks to everyone for the info it seems I was mostly right in my identification.

These are surplus to my needs now as my 912 is sorted.
I was toying with the idea of putting them on the 911 (although not period) but I have recently decided to stick with sugar scoops.

I would like to get back what I paid for them a while ago so happy to give Robin first dibs at £200 all in (or split £150 without the lamp units, lamp units £50 ).
All prices plus delivery at cost. Second refusal to Andy.

I'll transfer this to the Classified section if no takers.

Thanks Andrew
