Hi All,
I have had the Porsche 'illness' for over 40 years. The first time I heard the sound of an air cooled car was in a pub car park on the South Downs in 1966.From that moment I was smitten.Since that time I have owned over 30 of these wonderful cars and it is best not to dwell on the cars which I sold in haste to buy the next.
In more recent times, after completing a 12 year restoration of a 73 E coupe a garage fire left me bereft! As the fire coincided with my decision to 'give up the day job',I looked around for a 'project.
Of course my car was under insured and of course I wasn't expecting older cars to 'through the roof'.Anyway,I bought a 73 E Targa, knowing I was going to restore it 'properly'.Actually,Alan at Canford Classics is doing most of the work!I'm good at taking things apart...not so good at putting them back together.
We are nearly at the paint stage. To add some funds to finish it off, I will be putting some items up for sale that have been occupying storage space!
So the next big argument will be colour.
