rear bumper to body seal

hi, does the rubber seal that fits between the body and lower rear wing section have a foam strip that fits between the seal and upper body section ? when i removed the section there seemed to be a strip sandwiched between although it had pretty much disintegrated, rubber seal is OK.

What you are describing is the adhesives strip that sticks the rubber seal to the body. You can buy it at Halfords and the like known as trim tape
