Refitting electrical wiring

Post by Max911 »

Good evening everybody

Finally with bodyshell painted back to my garage I'm gonna start refitting...(yes I need to update my resto-post  )

Electrical: I removed it pulling from the front of the car: not quite easy to extract through tunnel but it seemed to me the only way.

Now, to do the same operation back will give more problems...due to less space to insert from tre front of the tunnel of the car...

Did I mistake anything initially?

The main wiring branch to the rear (connector to engine rele' plate +left/right rear lamps) of the car was in the tunnel on the right inside a "boxed" passage...was that the original correct postition?

Thanks as usual

Max

Hi Max

The main loom should have been removed from the engine compartment. It needs to go back in that way too. I goes behind the cross member behind the torsion tube and then needs to go into the conduit that is in the centre tunnel. The conduit is triangular in shape at the top right hand side. ( I think ).

Thank you very much.

In the meanwhile I was observing my wiring loom finally detecting the cables to disconnect from fuse box in order to insert them from engine bay.

I didn't do that way in removing phase because my car had been badly black painted in front trunk so all cables attached to fuse box were black...or orribly dirty so I was scared to mismatch all è f them
