US vs Euro ride height

Post by lewy 912 »

Hi All,

Does anyone know how much lower the Euro Spec load ride height is than the US.
also how much lower than Euro spec is it possible to go without upsetting the geometry too much and bottoming out?

thanks
Dave

My understanding is that the USA 912s were 1" higher than euro cars. This was certainly the case with my own car when it came into my possession, thankfully I've now reduced its nosebleed USA ride height in line with euro spec, far better imho.

Cheers Timo,
Mines now in with Export 56 in MK being lowered, I was hoping to go a bit lower than 1 inch tbh..
they said they'll drop it as low as possible, maybe 2 inches..

Have they cornerweighted it and adjusted the geometry to suit the lower ride height?

Looks loads better and probably a lot nicer to drive round the winding British roads!
