Watt battery?

Post by 23e Heure »

I need a new battery for the 914.

Have used Bosch silvers in my 911s, and always been happy with performance. The fact they are sealed is an added attraction of course...

Anybody here using bosch silver in their teener? If so, which one/size specifically, to fit nicely on the tray?

My lock up is a bit of a walk away, and it's raining, so would be great if someone could save me the effort :)

Thanks!

I have, give me a day or so and I'll post a pic (unless you nail it before), and you can make your own mind up - but I'm more than happy with it.... and I think it was only £45 from ECP :)

if you want something "non standard" and to shed a few pounds, I can recommend the odyssey PC680 battery I have in my BMW - its pretty small and works well on a 3litre high comp engine. think I paid about £80 and it came with a pair of screw in terminals and a mounting bracket. Its worked faultlessly for 4 years, and can be mounted at whatever angle.. I leave it on a ctek charger when not in use

I just bought a new Bosch Silver S5 from JCB, well I ordered the Varta branded version of it as it's cheaper though I think they are identical. Eitherway they sent me a Bosch Silver S5 instead.

BTW this is for my 911, but thought I would recommend Just Car Batteries.

Thanks NIge: There are a bunch of different S5s, all different sizes, just looking for help to identify the 'right' one

The correct size battery for a 914 is a 063

I use Bosch Silver batteries in my 914s, in my daily 914 I use a S4 over the S3.
