993 random missfire?

Post by k9handler »

After a wet weekend at the Nurburgring I am having a small issue with a missfire. this is at random, and only a split second.

What gives? Any ideas what could be wet and cause this?

I've previously had this on my later cars (could also be induced by liberal washing with a pressure washer) and it's been fixed by replacing the distributor cap on both occasions.

Hope this helps.

thank you for your reply. I have let it go a few days with just using the car and see what happens...whatever it was the missfire is gone ans she is running perfect so I guess the water evaporated wherever it was.
