I got quite excited about this because I've been to Aahus before and it's a lovely town but then I saw the price!

Split the cost with a co-driver / navigator.

 According to Google maps Aarhus is a thousand miles from where I live.

According to Google maps I can be there in 16 hours and 49 minutes, although I think a steady 59 miles per hour is a bit ambitious.

£1600 for registration, £500 for fuel and £200 for pastries....

I'm oot.

Perhaps next year, wherever that may be.

Can't be further away can it.

Anyway, how do you plan to get to Aarhus Steve ?

Over the Chunnel, turn left and drive for what will seem like forever, I imagine. Especially in a 356.

Re next year, if I'm not mistaken, that will be held in Spain. The year after? The UK! So, no excuse! 8)

I've been to the UK before but I quite fancy Spain, I saw Hendrik just this week and he did mention it.

Depends whereabouts I suppose but the ferry to Bilbao or Santander always seems like such a good idea.

Have you got a 356 up your sleeve for this Danish journey that I don't know about ?

No, Mike, unfortunately no 356s up my sleeves currently.

I have decided my next air-cooled will be T1 coupe and have set my sights on acquiring one in time for the UK International. No doubt another goal I will fail to achieve.

Looking forward to seeing those attending.

We're on the 07:30 chunnel tomorrow with a night in Bremmen and arrival in Aarhus Thursday afternoon.

See you there. Hopefully!

Lovely place though. Near Cadaques, where Salvador Dali had a villa. I drove all around there in the sixties, in a GP beach buggy. Showing my age.
