What engine spec was the Sonauto car running at LM?

I believe it was a 906 Carrera Type 901/20 engined. IE a 2 litre.
Experts may be along soon to correct me!

What I am certain of though, and not a lot of people know that: the car raced Le Mans with NO roll cage.
The factory simply bolted the targa roof in place, and said "That'll do".
Seems like the ACO scrutineers agreed!

KS did a piece on the car, I recall. Maybe not in CP though.

roll cages are for wimps anyway! What could possibly go wrong?

I wrote it for 911 & Porsche World several years ago – I'll see if I can find out which issue... I mentioned the lack of cage in the article – it's all true! Not a requirement in the class at the time.
