My 914-6 has a 2.5 ltr engine fitted. Engine no. 6120916, can anyone help by telling me what was the original car that it came from?

The number suggests a 1972 U.S. spec T.

Thanks Mick, the PO told me it has "S" heads and cam so maybe a bit over 160hp, if I'm lucky.

The engine no. tells you what the original spec was but it could have been upgraded with S cams & had the ports opened up to S specs, etc.

What induction system is installed - still mfi or carbs ?

It has PMO's . I believe its had lots of work, but don't have much paperwork. I suspect that a strip down and rebuild is on the cards before long.

If you have a 2.5l engine fitted and sorted with PMO's I suspect you are getting more the 160bhp.
