Have just removed the glass from my rear view mirror as the backing had deteriorated limiting the mirrors use. I was wondering whether a replacement mirror glass was available. I would prefer to keep the original plastic surround to retain as many of the original features as possible. I appreciate I can have mirror cut though this would be a second option.

Re: Rear view mirror glass replacement..........
+1 on finding out how to do it. I went to a glazier and he said he could cut a new piece to fit no problem as it is apparently a flat piece. Trouble is I can't get the old piece out. He suggested warming the plastic surround but I haven't managed it. - fearing snapping the whole damn thing.
