Hello,
Paul here, from Brooklyn, New York.
I'm a Brit, freshly arrived via a 20 year stint in Geneva, Switzerland.
It was about time I did things properly. Rather than stay a window shopper on a Sunday afternoon. I thought I'd take the plunge, sign on and dive in!! So here I am on DDK....
I'm a passionate Porsche man. Not any Porsche man. I'm an analog Porsche man. I don't like 924 s or 928 s. I don't like driver aids, I don't like big spoilers. I like them silver, simple, spartan, efficient, functional and fast. I'm an early 911 man and a 356 man.
I own a 1958 356A speedster T2 and a 1973 911S. I'm currently looking for a 1970 911T targa in (guess what) silver. My daily drive is a Silver G Wagen (which is probably the very best car for NYC streets). Though I much prefer the subway and the taxi for getting around this incredible city...
Sadly and strangely there is not much of a classic Porsche scene here. I think one has to go west for that. I'm investigating options for meeting up with fellow early owners, so if any of you read this then please get in touch!
