Any thing being planned for the 912's this year?

Post by 912uk »

Being as their 50 is this year. Just asking if anything is in the pipe line for an event. I read PCGB are putting togeather a 50th at their national show.

There is talk of the 912 Reg meeting at the Museum in Apr. I think it would be cool to put something on? What about asking Chris to take over his Fairmile Wednesday evening meet in Apr? We could start a little earlier or were you thinking about something for the w/e?

Blimey as soon as April my cars like not been used in years! :?

I will have to drag it out of storage soon and start a mini refresh on it.. I was going to get on with the 65 car.

Would be good to do some thing, I have a feeling Porsche are not too bothered all my contacts have said nothings been mentioned.

Is the PCGB the one at Belvoir Castle? It seemed like an interesting place for the event but not interesting enough for me to join PCGB :)

I would be happy to do the donkey work. What did you have in mind? I think using the Apr Fairmile Pub meeting might work. The downside is that it will get dark quite early in the evening. The up side is trying to clear a w/e in everybody's calender is tough.

Lets see if we can get a car of each year there. Ask some of the interested parties like Revival, Prill, ?? if they want to bring something interesting.

Wouldn't Classics at the Castle be a better bet? I'm sure Fred would be supportive.

I'm not adverse to the idea. Although I do get jittery when I am that far away from the sea :?

Think we should all try and get our cars together on a couple of occasions this year.
Classics at the Castle would be cool but is a long way away.
Would be nice to also plan something for late spring/early summer.

912 Register got 12 912's together at Stanford Hall in 2013 and won best club display.
Surely there are now more cars and owners to make a couple of decent meet ups this year.
Mine is nearly ready! :)

I should be at Stanford and Hedingham so happy to do either. I just thought about Apr because that was the first build month?

I can't find a date but May 2015. Near Lutterworth (just off M1). Very nice show. Mostly VWs. Couple of DDKers where there last year.

Stanford Hall is on Sunday 3rd May.
Classics at the Castle I guess is on 6th September?

Best to throw a few dates/ideas in air and see what suits the most people.

So again nr Leicestershire way. Ive never been to standford Hall it always just cropped up on me the date of the show and then I would read about it on the net afterwards. I have family that way so I could make that.. plus as there is some VW stuff there I wouldn't mind looking out some Pre A stuff.. So I think you can count me on that one.

We seem to be heading towards using Stanford? Anybody know how to ask for a club section? I'm guessing there is a charge?
