Ginetta Factory Tour - Fri 21st Nov MOVED FROM 14th Nov

Post by DaveW »

I have organised a factory tour of the Ginetta Cars facility in Garforth, Leeds for the Cheshire & Staffs Region of TiPEC. I have recently opened it up to the wider TiPEC forum and regions so am anticipating more uptake in the coming few weeks. However we have a tour maximum of 40 people and I am not expecting to have anywhere near that at this stage. Consequently if anyone on DDK is interested in joining us, we are expecting the tour to take circa 2 hours max starting at 10:30am. Please let me know if you are interested (PM me with your email/phone contact details) and I will add you to the list. TiPEC members will get priority however there should still be space.

Hi Dave,
Yes please, that would be very interesting, and a good excuse for a drive (not that I need one) and meet some mates :)

No problem. Mick & Ian, can you PM me either an email or a phone contact number and I will add you to the list. Can you also confirm if you will be coming on your own or with a passenger?

Cheers,

Hi Everyone, I will contact those that have come forward individually to check on plans. Please be advised that Ginetta have just asked me to move the tour from the 14th Nov to the following Friday 21st Nov. It turns out that a number of their team will be at the Cologne Motorsport Show and so the 14th a) won't give us the best of impression of their facility and b) the key people are not around to chaperone us. Apologies if this causes any inconvenience. I have just received word from them this morning.

Hi Dave,
Organised a tour at Ginetta factory around 3 years ago for TIPEC Synn region. Great visit and would love to return but can't do the 14th and then noticed you've moved it to 21st and thought great I'm up for that, just realised that its a day time visit so I'm snookered with work. The visit we did was an evening one around 6.00pm, like you say its around 2 hours.
Anybody who hasn't been will be amazed at the setup they have and the Board room is pretty impressive.
Don't think you'll have a problem filling the tour.

Indeed, an evening option wasn't offered. Though then again they seem to have stopped doing tours altogether so I was grateful that they are willing to offer one during business hours. Made it a Friday as I felt that would make it easier for people to take time off. Just annoying that all the comms had gone out and then we have to move it. I was up to around 25 people though expect this to drop. Consequently please do confirm your interest if you are free now on the 21st.
