CLM 911 not ready .Is it OK to bring a modern car instead?

Post by higs356 »

Well ...the inevitable rush to be ready and hitting some snags means that the car is not ready

1st tickets VMail says they have left for France already
I'm still keen to go ..Other than changing the Tunnel Registration ...is there any other restrictions with bringing a modern car ?? ...It is German :)

Oh ...and it also means I will likely have a parade lap slot someone else could use
Cheers

No restrictions other than Parade laps....just get yourself there :)

On the plus side, you can now bring 3 times as much stuff and be ready for any situation

I hope so. Best laid plans and all that. From our merry band of four there's now only one proper DDK car, one later 911, and two moderns with aircon for the ladies.

What impact will this have ? ... The car needs to stay in the camping location and we walk ...Correct ??

The first CLM that I went to, in 2004, I found out the day before that my trade insurance wouldn't cover me abroad in an old 911 so I went in my BMW 330D. It was the first DDK tour and I was the only modern in the group. I wasn't allowed to do the track laps but they refunded me in cash without question.
