Hello from Nottingham

Post by 911pete »

Hi , my name is Pete from Nottingham and am over 4 and a half decades old. Have visited this site a few times over the last 2 or 3 years and found it really informative and friendly.

I have never owned a 911 but I feel after 3 decades of wanting one, now is the time to bite the bullet and start looking. I am not a seasoned expert at looking at these cars either so I would prefer to try and buy a well known car that is in excellent condition and that has not been modified too much.

My preference would be a bog standard matching numbers 2.4T or E . I love viper green and blood orange but I suppose I will just have to see how the search goes.

Look forward to picking your brains when the time comes.

Cheers

Pete

Welcome to another Nottinghamshire member.

Good luck with your search, you probably should have started it 2 years ago price wise though!

Hope to meet up soon.

Thanks for making me feel welcome Bootsy, Sladey and Jason. I live in Arnold. Do the Notts lads have a meeting anywhere? I hope I do find something in the near future and its a shame that the prices have risen so much so quickly as its probably priced me out of some really nice cars. Trouble with me is I spend too much time thinking about stuff and not getting on with it and doing it. I suppose its good news if you are selling but not so good if buying.
If anyone knows of a nice matching numbers 2.4E or T in RHD then I am interested !

Cheers

hi Pete,

Welcome. I am based around Ranby, which is just about within Notts, but I lived for 11 years in Lenton. There is a good number of real enthusiasts in the area so there is an opportunity to sample a bit of all! (Even, ahem, *caugh* some impact bumper action.)

Take care,

Some would suggest LHD is the way to go!

Good luck with your search.
