Mike and I would like to invite you all to attend the second DDK Scottish Highland Tour (SHT2) which will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, 22 – 25 August 2014.
The routes for the event have not been finalised but will be different to those used in 2007. We are, however, pleased to announce that we will be using the same location for our base as we did in 2007, Loch Tay Highland Lodges. This holiday park is situated on the beautiful steep banks of Loch Tay in the heart of the Highlands. The facility offers a range of accommodation from premium wigwams, woodland cabins and of course the lodges and they will all be offered to those attending. In addition, the site has a beautiful loch side restaurant which we will have exclusive use of for a couple of the nights we are staying. We are also pleased to inform those who attended the now legendary 2007 tour that the road within the park has now been tarmacadamed.
For any of you that have never been to Scotland before I can guarantee that you will drive on some of the greatest roads and see some of the best scenery that Scotland has to offer. As part of the tour we will be visiting a number of interesting locations to ensure that the other half doesn't feel completely left out. We only hope that the weather will be as kind to us as last time.
Numbers will be limited and we expect this tour to be very popular. At this point we would like those who are interested in attending to register their interest below, places will be awarded on a first come first served basis. The initial list will include both Gary (Gary71) and Mark (912uk) both of which attended the 2007 tour but were unable to complete the event due to mechanical issues. They can let me know if they wish to take up their guaranteed positions.
Once we have an indication of the numbers we will be back to give an estimate of overall costs and look for a deposit.
