Hi Andrea,
Welcome to DDK.
Since you couldn't find that six; which model did you end up buying instead ?
Any chance you could post some photos of your newly acquired 914 ?

Congratulations - pics?!
This book is quite useful if you're planning to modify the car, but definitely not worth the 'new' prices being quoted.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Restore-Modify- ... ternie+914
5 stud Fuchs ain't cheap. 15" Cookie Cutters seem to be a lot cheaper, but you might want to finalise your plans for brakes and hubs first.
For example... sold now though. http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/ ... 130-offers

Hi,
Check out this thread on 914World..Eric Shea is a master of 914 brakes and suspension setups in the US. This thread seems to cover most, if not all, the 5 lug conversion options. Will be doing it myself too..one day!

Hi Andrea
Easiest and quickest way to convert to 5 stud is to change to 911 struts on the front and put on a set of these on the back
http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewto ... 55#p332155
Yours for £100. They were on my car for many years before I upgraded to bigger driveshafts to cope with the extra power and demands of rallying.
Cheers

Re: 5 stud conversion
Hi Andrea
Welcome!
I put a set of 4-5 lug converters on that I bought pretty cheap from VW Heritage, changed mine to Fuchs & think it looks pretty good.
It does push the wheels pretty far out towards the body but that doesn't bother me particularly.
Ill dig out a link if you're interested?
Jack
