Hi there and welcome to the forum.
Don't take on a project, it'll ruin you. Wise words from me: "Wait till you win the lottery".
We'll all be rooting for you in your quest to find a suitable car (restored or otherwise), you're in the right place to find a good early 911.

Thanks chaps. I have restored a '79 mk1 golf so there is some knowledge, but sounds like the 911 parts are a lot more expensive than the common golf part!

And they rust more. Remember rust. Rust is key. Plus when looking at any car consider 2 things......hysteric wrote: I have restored a '79 mk1 golf so there is some knowledge, but sounds like the 911 parts are a lot more expensive than the common golf part!

Re: Hello from wimbledon....
Thanks Bootsy, but I think you have never seen a 79 Mk1 golf and their tendancy for rust!
Incredible, the boys on the mk1 forum use the iceberg principle when viewing cars for rust... what you see is only 10%.....
What can i say, I am a sucker for old german rust.....
