Well I've been posting a bit in some of the threads so I guess it's polite to introduce myself. I currently have a 67 912 Targa. It's my 2nd 912. The first one I bought on a wimp after driving past it at Tower Porsche. That car was a bit of a rocky ride but came good in the end. To begin with the engine used to cut out at low revs finally the garage got it sorted and I was rear ended on my first long drive in it! Then after I got it back looking very nice the engine went and I got it sorted again and it was running nicely and looking good someone nicked it from outside my place in London!

The bug for a classic car hadn't left me so I got another 912 but this time a targa. The 5 speed gear box makes a massive difference on the motorway. I got it at a pretty good price and it's now having from panels replaced on the front end by Tuthill Porsche. All while this was happening I decided that I really needed a 356 not another asian fund to drop by 10% so I've bought a 356a from CA. It a another wimp since we really need a larger place in London but buying a car is so much cheaper. I'm luckly, or unfortunate, enough to spend either weekend up in Northampshire, since my kids live up there with my ex so generally I keep my car up there. Trust me this sounds more glamorous than it is. The total value of both places I have now is less than the family home I lost during the divorce but cost twice as much as it! Go figure!

I'm not completely sure what the plan is with the cars yet. Maybe I will sell the 912 or just use it more. I'm leading toward setting the 356 up as a race car. I'm not sure if I will race, since this doesn't appear to be a cheap sport, it but I like the look. However, I will probably enjoy both over the summer for now.

I love cars but given the choice I would always run or bike somewhere. Last year I biked up the Grand Union Canal from our place in London to our other place by the Braunston Tunnel. It was all lots of fun until I got a punctured and realised I had left my pump at home. 6 mile run/push to the nearest bike shop then just another 6 punctures and I was home. What a great day! Another puncture would of broke me and had me calling the new Mrs B for a lift.

We have a very active 5 month old Springer who is already a quicker runner than me. I used to be an ok club runner, triathlete but now let my son get on with the competitions as he is already pretty good and races for Surrey.

I look forward to meeting people when at the Classic Le Mans.
