2.7 CIS Throttle linkage

Post by Chopperman »

I have just purchased a 2.7 CIS to `drop in` my 911T when it goes wrong. How difficult is it, baring in mind the fuel accumulator etc is not fitted to mine.
I cannot find any pictures of the throttle linkage for a CIS sytem.

If your CIS motor complete? If it has the linkage on the top of the engine shroud your T linkage should fit straight to it.

Hi,

Other things you will need to change for K-Jetronic CIS are :

Fuel pump (operates at higher pressure and has non-return valve built in) you can use a VW Golf one.
Fuel filter/pressure accumulator/bracket assy from a 911 2.7 or again use the VW Golf equivalent.
You will need to make 6 spacer/adaptors for the inlet manifolds as the 2.7 911 K-Jet inlet ports had an angled machined half moon cut-out to clear the injectors as fitted into the inlet manifolds.

HTH and Welcome !

Yes, the Golf pump is the part now supplied by Eurocarparts for 911 use and I have fitted many. I can see no reason why the Golf warm-up regulator and pressure accumulator cannot also be used as they have the same function (the cold pressure and therefore the fuel mixture may be slightly different though).
